The Canterbury Choir
This choir sings at the 10 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and, in addition, at Evensong, Advent and Epiphany Procession with Lessons and Carols, concerts and Diocesan festivals and services. The repertoire is ambitious, and a minimum of four hours per week is asked. Those interested in participating in this choir need not be accomplished or professional singers; a trained solo voice is not always conducive to a good choral ensemble sound. For high school students and adults, a musical background, ability to sight-read, as well as strong commitment to attendance are the requirements for membership. The group sings from September to June and rehearses each Thursday, 7-9 p.m.
The St. Barnabas Schola
This ensemble sings the office of Compline. The Schola is open to men and women of St. Barnabas and the community at large who are interested in the simple beauty of plainsong.
